Affiliate Program Terms

1. Joining the program

To take part you must register an affiliate account, confirm your email, and accept these terms. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and legally able to enter into this agreement. We may approve, decline, suspend, or close any account at our discretion (for example where we suspect fraud or a breach of these terms).

2. Your referral link

On signup you receive a unique referral link. When someone clicks it, we record the visit and store a first-party cookie attributing them to you for the attribution window shown in your dashboard (by default 30 days). If they buy a qualifying Sciwand product within that window, the sale is credited to you. Attribution is last-click within the window and may be superseded by a later affiliate's link or a coupon-based attribution.

3. Commission

You earn the commission rate shown in your dashboard, calculated as a percentage of the net sale amount (excluding taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and discounts). Commission rates and the payout threshold are set by us and may change; changes apply to sales made after the change. Commission is earned only on completed, paid orders that are not later refunded or disputed.

4. Payouts

• Manual & threshold-based. Payouts are processed manually by us once your approved balance reaches the minimum threshold shown in your dashboard. Balances below the threshold roll over until they qualify.
• PayPal by default. Add a valid PayPal email to your profile to receive payments. We can only pay an account whose details you have provided and kept current.
• Wire transfer. Where indicated as available, wire transfer may be offered on request for larger balances.
• Fees are yours. Any PayPal fees, bank/wire fees, intermediary charges, and currency-conversion costs are deducted from or borne against your payout. Sciwand pays the gross commission amount to the payment provider; we are not responsible for fees the provider or your bank applies.
• Taxes. You are solely responsible for any taxes due on commissions you earn, and for reporting them to the relevant authorities.

5. Reversals

If a referred order is refunded, charged back, or found to be fraudulent, the related commission is reversed and removed from your balance. If a reversal occurs after you have been paid, we may offset the amount against future commissions.

6. Acceptable promotion

You agree to promote Sciwand honestly and lawfully. You must not:

• bid on Sciwand trademarks in paid search, or impersonate Sciwand;
• make false or misleading claims about the product, pricing, or your relationship with us;
• use spam, unsolicited email, or deceptive pop-ups/redirects;
• self-refer, use your own link for your own purchases, or generate fake clicks or sales;
• offer unauthorised rebates, coupons, or cash-back; or
• promote on sites containing illegal, hateful, or infringing content.

Where required by law (for example FTC guidelines), you must clearly disclose that your links are affiliate links.

7. Tracking & data

We record referral clicks using a privacy-preserving, day-rotated hash rather than storing raw IP addresses, plus coarse country/device information, to attribute sales and detect abuse. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Independent contractors

Participation does not create an employment, partnership, agency, or joint-venture relationship. You have no authority to make commitments on our behalf, and you are responsible for your own costs of promotion.

9. Suspension & termination

Either party may end participation at any time. We may withhold or cancel commissions linked to fraud or a breach of these terms. On termination, any validly earned, unpaid commission above the threshold and not subject to reversal will be paid in the normal cycle; balances below the threshold may be forfeited.

10. Disclaimer & liability

The program is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability relating to the program is limited to the unpaid commissions validly owed to you. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for fees charged by payment providers.

11. Changes

We may update these terms or program settings (rates, thresholds, attribution window) as the program evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date; continued participation means you accept them.
